7 Benefits of having a personal trainer
- Lose fat and gain muscle. Most people set out to lose fat, build muscle, or both. However, not many know how to go about doing that. They may spend too long on cardio and not enough time strength training or vice versa. I can help you strike the right balance to burn fat while building lean muscle.
- See better results sooner. Left to our own devices, many of us wind up on cardio machines at the gym or listlessly moving from one piece of exercise equipment to another. I can ensure you spend your time working on the right exercises with the proper equipment. If you only have a limited amount of time to exercise I can show you how to get the maximum benefit out of that time and achieve results faster.
- Set realistic goals. Nothing is more disheartening than failing to achieve your fitness goal. Sometimes a failed gym goal is a self-fulfilled prophecy. You fail so you give up. You set unrealistic goals thereby setting yourself up for failure. I can help you set realistic and healthy fitness goals and achieve them.
- Avoid injuries. If it’s been awhile since you worked out or used gym equipment it can be easy to injure yourself. Lifting weights without proper form is a recipe for lasting or serious injuries. I can show you and check that you have the right form and correct you as you exercise thereby reducing the risk of injuries.
- I can challenge you to be better. When exercising alone, it is easy for you to fall into boring routines. I can mix up workouts and bring new challenges to the table keeping it fun and interesting. I can help push you to reach new personal records, whether it is a faster run time or a heavier weight lifted. This is one many of my clients talk about.
- Break through the plateau. Even the most experienced gym-goer will encounter the dreaded plateau. Once you stop seeing results going to the gym will dwindle and you may stop working out altogether. I can identify new techniques to push beyond the plateau while keeping you motivated.
- Keeping you accountable. It is easy to fall off the wagon when you have no one to keep you accountable. For example, it is easy for a person to roll over and turn off the alarm clock if no one is waiting for you. I will support you, check in on you and keep you motivated.
